I haven’t been to the national aquarium, but a couple of my favorites are the Moody Gardens pyramid in Galveston, TX which houses a rainforest and aquarium; and the Dallas aquarium. Both are worth a visit if you are in the area.
The Moody Gardens pyramid is special to me since I was around when it was under construction. A friend of mine was working with them on the aquarium design, so he took me on several tours. I’ve been to the top access and looked down on the incomplete forest. I’d really love to go back and see how it’s all matured.
